The ProjectThe client needed a fully compliant, state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) online training program built from the ground up. Their goal was to create a structured and regulation-aligned learning experience that could support self-paced online theory while meeting OBRA and Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry requirements.
At the start of the project, I helped the client evaluate and select an LMS that would meet their operational, compliance, and learner-experience requirements. Based on their need for sequential course progression, auto-graded assessments, certificate automation, built-in website hosting, reporting, and scalability, LearnWorlds was selected as the best-fit platform. The client provided the approved course structure and required hour allocations for each course within the program. Using this framework, I developed the instructional content using Hartman Nursing Assistant Care: The Basics, 6th Edition and publisher-provided PowerPoint presentations and videos. I then designed and built a 12-course CNA program delivered through LearnWorlds that combines interactive online instruction, auto-graded assessments, and automated certification, alongside a separate in-person competency validation process overseen by an RN instructor. The build emphasizes learner progression, regulatory safeguards, and audit-ready documentation. The project entailed the following items:
